Low Cost Spay/Neuter

***Currently, we are booking 10+ weeks out, so please plan ahead and call early***

With a fully equipped surgical space, we are able to offer low cost spay/neuter services for felines to our community. Currently, we hold clinics several Sundays per month.

We provide the highest standard of care possible for our patients, while trying to keep costs down so we can offer services at a lower cost allowing for more animals to be spayed, neutered and vaccinated.

Frequently Asked Questions About Spay/Neuter:

How does it work?

If you are interested in getting a cat spayed or neutered, take a look at our forms (see below) which include the services we offer as well as pricing, directions, etc.  Then, give us a call. We will discuss with you the options for your pet and get you scheduled for a Sunday that works for you. Appointments are required. Please note that we DO NOT have full time, dedicated office staff, so please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as we are able.

Cats are dropped off and picked up the same day. When you schedule, you are assigned a specific drop off time. Then, on the day of surgery. you will receive a call or text with a specific pick up time once the cat(s) is(are) recovered from anesthesia (typically after 12:00PM).

Payment is due at the time of drop off - cash, checks and credit cards are accepted.  We do NOT accept Care Credit.

Why does every cat get a rabies vaccine when they are spayed/neutered at TreeHorse?

Pennsylvania has one of the highest incidences of rabies in wild and domestic animals within the country. We feel that it is our responsibility to do our part in preventing an almost 100% fatal disease that is both an animal and human health risk. So, we require that all cats that come into our surgery space receive a rabies vaccine at the time of surgery.  Our prices include this vaccine. If your cat is up to date on a rabies vaccine, please bring the rabies certificate along at drop off - if proper proof is provided, your cat will not receive a rabies vaccine.

How old does a cat need to be to be spayed/neutered?

A cat needs to be at least 2 months of age AND 2 pounds of body weight to undergo surgery. However, cats have to be 3 months (12 weeks of age) to receive a rabies vaccine, so many clients wait until that age.
